SFP Dressage Masterclass Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 2026
Robert Dover and Alizée Froment
Dressage at the Intersection of Sport and Art
A Dressage Masterclass Like No Other, Presented by the San Francisco Peninsula Chapter of the California Dressage Society, at the Horse Park at Woodside, California.
In this exciting and unique two-day dressage masterclass, you will learn how top dressage sport training intersects with the art of liberty to bring out the best in competitive dressage horses.
Six-time Olympian Robert Dover and international liberty trainer Alizée Froment will teach horse and rider combinations at all levels, from young and green to seasoned Grand Prix, using the psychological, physical, and emotional ways that horses naturally think and react to elevate dressage training and create true harmony between horse and rider.
This is a masterclass for riders and trainers who want more than an obedient dressage horse – it is for those who want a joyous partner in the dressage ring.
Robert Dover
“Dressage simply means ‘training’ and my goal here is to help riders train their horses for a more harmonious and beautiful relationship.”
Six-time Olympian and four-time Olympic medalist, former coach of both the US and Canadian teams, trainer of more than 100 horses and riders to Grand Prix, Robert is one of the most influential figures in American dressage, known for his success as both a competitor and a coach on the international stage.
Robert’s dedication to giving back has shined through his decades of work with the Equestrian Aid Foundation and countless clinics and symposiums. Most recently, his commitment to equestrian education is covering the country with his most recent initiative, the American Dressage Mentoring Program, which launched this year.
His goal in training and teaching is always to have people going home feeling they have learned something new that changes their relationship with their horses.
Alizée Froment
“In my eyes, dressage is the journey to perfect communication and absolute harmony between horse and rider.”
International Grand Prix rider and trainer, renowned expert in training at liberty, master rider at Grand Prix without a bridle, star presenter at many equine extravaganzas, Alizée is on a mission to help horses reach their full potential and become the best versions of themselves, both mentally and physically.
Alizée shares her philosophy and training techniques to strengthen the rider’s relationship with the horse and above all to empower him, testing whether the dressage training is progressing correctly – slowly needing less and less from the aids while still keeping the connection and understanding with the horse.
Her audiences on social media and at her live performances are living proof of her connection with the hearts of horses and the people who love them.

CALL FOR RIDERS! APPLY BY JULY 1*
Robert and Alizée welcome all breeds and ages of horses, at all levels of dressage training. Because of the nature of demonstrations in front of a large audience, it is best for riders to be experienced in riding their horse in front of large audiences, and capable of remaining calm and attentive despite microphone squawks which inevitably occur, audience clapping, and distracting movement and sounds outside the arena.
*Written applications and videos are required for every applicant, and are due to SFP no later than July1, 2026, unless the Masterclass fills sooner.
